CADA Responds to Thabo Mbeki’s Defense of Joseph Kabila & M23 Rebels

In a recent viral video, ex-South African President Thabo Mbeki claimed M23 is the “most popular force” in the DRC and accused President Tshisekedi of tribal exclusion.

Éric Kamba, from CADA, condemned these claims as misinformation that risks igniting ethnic division and legitimizing violence.

“Mbeki should know better. These narratives insult the victims of war in Goma and Bukavu and serve the interests of warlords, not peace,” Kamba said.
